ASECAN, Andalusian Film Festival

ASECAN, Andalusian Film Festival

The Andalusian Film Writers Association (Asecan), which brings together the majority of Andalusian film writers and critics, was created on September 15, 1982, and has announced this Monday the nominations within the framework of the Seville European Film Festival, in an edition in which television series will compete again and, for the first time, direction and script for series will compete in their own category.

In this call, the awards that will be presented on December 21 in Seville, have the official collaboration of the SGAE Foundation and the AISGE Foundation, and the support of the Seville City Council, EGEDA, Platea Odeón Imperdible and the Andalusian Cinema Network. The following works stand out: the Asecan Award for Best Andalusian Film will be competed for by ‘La infiltrada’, by Arantxa Echevarría; ‘Los último enamorados’, by David P. Sañudo; ‘Por donde pasa el silencio’, by Sandra Romero and ‘Solos en la noche’, by Guillermo Rojas.

The ASECAN Awards have received 275 entries, of which 164 have been for the individual categories and 111 for the collective categories, highlighting among the latter 18 fiction features, 27 documentary features and 48 short films.
