Guadalquivir Night Race in Seville 2024

Guadalquivir Night Race in Seville 2024

The 36th edition of the emblematic event, which takes place next Friday (start at 10:00 p.m.) is expected to reach or even exceed the number of 20,000 participants.

The launch of the Runner's Fair, inaugurated last Saturday in the Lobby Space of Torre Sevilla, is the unequivocal sign that the time for the Seville Night Race is approaching its date. The start will be at ten o'clock at night at the Glorieta de Buenos Aires on Paseo de las Delicias, kilometer zero and the end of a light circuit.

The race generates enormous expectation in the city with a participation of some 18,900 registered, which is 700 more than the total number of participants in the 2023 edition. Everything indicates right now that there will be at least 20,000 runners who will meet at the starting line.

It is one of the most anticipated sporting events due to its popular and multitudinous nature. Because the Nocturna does not 'discriminate' by not requiring great physical preparation, unlike what happens with the Half Marathon or the Zurich Marathon of Seville, the other great road races in the city. The Nocturna is different. It is a sporting event but above all a fun one, a party that turns the streets of the city orange and is already part of the Sevillian tradition on the last Friday of every September.

The Runner's Fair is the obligatory place for participants. Although registration, in order to speed up the process, is entirely online through the official race website, the collection of the bib and the runner's bag will be done at the Lobby Space of Torre Sevilla from Saturday 21st to Friday 27th September. The employees of the Municipal Sports Institute, organizer of the Guadalquivir Nocturna KH7, make a great effort every year to ensure that everything goes as planned and the runners enjoy a unique spectacle that makes them protagonists and want to repeat year after year.

This is the itinerary of the XXXVI Guadalquivir Night Race 2024 in Seville: Glorieta de Buenos Aires (start), Paseo de las Delicias, roundabout of the Marineros, Paseo de las Delicias, Paseo de Cristóbal Colón, Arjona street, Torneo street, Duquesa de Alba roundabout, Resolana, Parliament of Andalusia, Muñoz León, Ronda de Capuchinos, María Auxiliadora, Recaredo, Menéndez Pelayo, Juan de Austria square, El Cid avenue, San Diego roundabout, María Luisa avenue, Marineros roundabout, Paseo de las Delicias and Buenos Aires roundabout (goal).

This year marks ten years of sponsorship by KH7. A prosperous link that explains, by the corporate colours of this well-known brand, the birth of the 'orange wave' that floods the city. The number of sponsors has grown to ten: Powerade, Cruzcampo, Coca Cola Europacific-Partners, Teknoservice, Torre Sevilla, El Corte Inglés, Juver, CaixaBank, Apitox and Skoda Cartuja Motor. and as the delegate pointed out there are two new features: an animation point after half of the race and the division of the start into two boxes, and not three, to separate the elite professionals from the rest of the participants, who are the majority and those who give meaning to this Night Race that little by little is coming into full swing one more year.

From THE SUN PLACES, we hope that it will be a social success and that the people of Seville and its visitors can spend a pleasant evening on the banks of the Guadalquivir. Stay in one of our luxury apartments in Seville.
