International Flamenco Fashion Week ( SIMOF )

This year, the event with flamenco fashion is coming to the capital as part of the special actions designed to mark the 30th anniversary of International Flamenco Fashion Week (SIMOF), a national and international flamenco fashion fair held every year in Seville. SIMOF Madrid 2024 is part of SIMOF On Move, a project designed to bring this fashion platform from southern Spain to other cities and countries, which continues to inspire designers from all over the world.

The Huelva model Raquel Vargas, dressed in a Manila shawl by the century-old firm Juan Foronda, starred in a flamenco performance composed of four percussionists (cajones) and six dancers, all artists from the Teatro Flamenco MadridP will be in charge of presenting the third edition of the International Flamenco Fashion Week, SIMOF Madrid. The official press conference was held at the Salón Real de la Casa de la Panadería in the capital.

"There will be three days in which, in this very special year, at SIMOF Madrid you will not only see flyers for going to fairs and pilgrimages, but also flamenco trends, inspired by the south, a differentiating aesthetic that continues to permeate Madrid and beyond our borders. And the fact is that Andalusian fashion, with its iconic suits and accessories, continues to enamor international firms and triumph at the main world fashion events," explained Raquel Revuelta, organizer of the event.

Victorio & Lucchino will be in charge of being the first designers of SIMOF Madrid, presenting their 2025 Classic Avant-garde collection. Immediately afterward, the Flamenco en la Piel awards will be presented, and the invited public will be able to enjoy the Inaugural Iconic Fashion Show. Flamenco-inspired fashion with Marquise jewellery at the Salón del Duque in the iconic Wellington Hotel & Spa Madrid.

The SIMOF Madrid Flamenco en la Piel Awards recognise personalities linked to the spirit of the south and also to the flamenco fashion sector. In addition, the SIMOF Madrid Aromas Solidarios Award will be given, which aims to recognise people or institutions dedicated to promoting the common good and whose work is aimed at creating a better society by aligning itself with the principles and values ​​of Aromas perfumeries.

Victorio & Lucchino will open SIMOF MADRID on the 26th, giving way to two intense days in which 29 top-level firms, plus the designers of the Málaga de Moda collective and the Mof&Art and Qlamenco associations, will present their collections in the 13 fashion shows scheduled until Saturday in the Salón Duque.

The following fashion shows are scheduled for September 27: Málaga de Moda; Ángela y Adela; Ángeles Isa; Inma Benicio; Sonibel; Conso Delgado; Merche Caparrós Moda Flamenca; Pilar Vera; Sara De Benítez; Alejandro Postigo; Carmen Latorre; Con T D'Touché; Seri & Tapiju; Looking for Carmen by the Association of Designers and Entrepreneurs of Fashion and Flamenco Crafts in Andalusia (QLAMENCO), ending on the 28th with the following participants: Atelier Manuel Odriozola; Castrejón; Mari Carmen Sáez Flamenca; Nuria Moraza; `Evocador´ Mof&Art (Flamenco Fashion Artisan Association); Hermanas Serrano Design; Javier Del Álamo; Marco Zapata Costura; Toñi Salas; Amparo Pardal; Mari Cruz & Montecarlo since 1958; Rosa Pedroche; Susana Zamora; Arantxa Aguilera; Eli Martín; Flor de Cerezo Moda and Verónica de La Vega. The Closing Fashion Show will take place on the same day.

During the event and just after each fashion show, attendees will be able to enjoy an exclusive showroom with the trends and new products where they will be able to meet the designers and purchase their proposals for outfits and accessories. In addition, there will be masterclasses and workshops aimed at influencers.
