This presentation has a special character, since the letter of adhesion from the Sanlúcar City Council to the file for the application for registration of horse racing in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO has been formalized.
A total of 25 competitions will be held in the two racing cycles, including the Sanlúcar City Grand Prix, with a total budget for the season of more than 1.2 million euros, of which more than 250,000 euros will be allocated to prizes. . The Sanlúcar City Council is among the numerous sponsors of this event, declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest.
This year, the Royal Horse Racing Society has chosen the Fine Arts graduate, Leonor Barrero, to create the poster. She has expressed her gratitude for the honor of being selected for the job. The work is an acrylic on paper that illustrates the horse race on the seashore. The author has captured the light and color of racing, as well as the speed at which thoroughbreds gallop. The poster shows four riders competing on the sands of Sanlúcar with the Doñana preserve as a backdrop. Leonor Barrero has chosen red, yellow and blue for the jockeys' attire, which represent strength, passion and joy. The two fluorescent stripes, one vertical and the other horizontal, refer to the exact coordinates of the Sanluqueño racecourse.
The Sanlúcar de Barrameda Horse Races want to attract Sevillian holidaymakers, which is why the organization has chosen the La Real Maestranza poster hall to present the poster that represents this event of international tourist interest.
