The Half Marathon is coming to Seville

The Seville Half Marathon has given away its spectacular shirt as a gift to all those registered when they collect their number and the finishers' medal to all those who are able to cross the finish line and cover the 21,097 metres of the route with start and finish at the Buenos Aires roundabout. It is the flattest half marathon in Europe with only 5 metres of height difference between its lowest and highest point, making it a very suitable route for achieving great times over the distance.

Both the official poster, the shirt and the medal focus on the figure of the Giraldillo to pay tribute to Seville and all its citizens who have always supported the celebration of this event for three decades.

The Seville Half Marathon 2025, which sold out the 17,000 available race numbers four months before its celebration, is the first major sporting event of the year in Andalusia and will celebrate its 30 years of history by breaking its participation records and also with the largest number of women and foreign runners among those registered, with almost 30% women on the starting line and more than 3,000 foreigners. Among the most important runners are the Spaniards Adel Mechaal, who is making his debut in the event, and Ester Navarrete and Meritxell Soler in the female category, in addition to more than 40 elite athletes fighting for victory.

The Sports and Health Promotion Delegate, Silvia Pozo, was in charge of unveiling the commemorative t-shirt and the medal of the sporting event, accompanied by Ricardo Villena, general coordinator of the Sports and Health Promotion area of the City Council; Julio Montes, president of the San Pablo Athletics Club, and Mateo Navajas, from Create Eventos y Deportes, organizers of the event.

Many non-professional Sevillians have enjoyed this event organized by the San Pablo Athletics Club, on a grey and rainy day, thanks to all of them for making it possible for Seville to be at the top.

From THE SUN PLACES, we want to thank all the runners who have participated in this first annual event and who have stayed in our luxury apartments in Seville. See you at the next edition
