Visit the famous Plaza de España in Seville, stroll through the entire Maria Luisa park , let its gardens refresh you and ride a horse through its interior. It is open all year round and you can rent a boat to cross the entire canal. The hours of these boats are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in summer and until 8 p.m. in winter.
You can also enjoy a guided tour (which you can rent with THE SUN PLACES). It begins inside the square, bordered by the navigable canal crossed by 4 magnificent bridges that symbolize the four ancient kingdoms of Spain (Castilla, León, Navarra and Aragón). The center of the square is decorated with a fountain, which is an oasis of coolness on hot summer days.
The building is adorned with a long gallery on columns that we can go through. In its lower part there are fountains and tile decorations, with all the Spanish provinces represented in alphabetical order. You can take a photo in the tile of your province.
Each province is delimited by a bank, its map and a tile from Triana with its shield, which represents some historical event. In the center of the square, the main building stands out, the former pavilion of Spain today for military use: General Headquarters of the Terrestrial Force, with an equally outstanding interior, although visits must be guided. The courtyard surrounded by marble columns stands out, where the Theater and the Chapel are located and on the upper floor the Royal and Maps rooms, with a large terrace overlooking the square.
